1. Take Charge Of Your Diet:

The leading cause of death in the United States is heart disease. A whopping 26% of all deaths. The next is cancer. Scientific studies tell us that to increase all forms of vegetables and fruits will increase our natural immunity, physiology towards health and alkalization.

2. Engage Your Body

Physical activity promotes a healthy, lean, muscular body and studies have now proven that regular exercise also has a causal role on how long and well we can live! Qi Sun & collegues from Harvard School of Public Health looked at data from 13,535 participants where female nurses reported physcial activity level. The team found that women who lived to 70 (10 + years after the study began) had higher levels of physical activity and were less likely to have chronic diseases- heart, physical, cognitive or mental imparements. So find some activity you enjoy and just do it!

3. Decrease Inflammation

Acute inflammation is a protective mechanism of the body. Chronic inflammation is a stuck system which leads to the top 60+ diseases in the United States. The #1 cause of acidosis and related inflammation is toxic negative thinking, the #2 cause is acidic eating. Abdominal Breathing, EmPower March, Journaling, Forgiveness, other forms of meditative activities (yoga, praying, singing, etc.) all have profound effects on the brain, body-mind connection, neurology and hormones which will shut down the inflammatory cascade.

4. Brain Plasticity

Science now tells us that when we choose different ways of thinking and behaving our brain literally rewires (disconnects from the old pattern). Studies at Brandeis University in Massachusets showed increasing mental activity (reading, writing, cross-word puzzles etc) whether an individual has a higher or lower education, increased memory tests.

5. Improve Your Intimate Relationships

We are relational beings and the deeper we grow together the healthier we feel! In a survey of 3,000 men and women ages 57 to 85 years, researchers at the University of Chicago learned that seniors who maintained strong/functioning sexual and intimate relationships generally have better health and well being!

So in the words of B.E.S.T. founder and developer Dr. MT Morter Jr. Love them more, expect nothing in return and health, happiness and success is sure to follow!

Here are the facts:

Non-Mechanical (not from trauma) of frozen shoulder

- 2 to 4 times higher in Diabetes than in general population

- common in Type I/II Diabetes, increasing with age and duration of Diabetes

- the prevalence of Diabetes in clients with frozen shoulder is 76%

Possible causes of the frozen shoulder are poor circulation, inflammation and collagen repair problems.

In our practice we’ve had many cases of traumatic & non traumatic frozen shoulder, the common denominator was sub-conscious unresolved emotional stress and poor diet. As these issues are resolved, shoulder physiology improves and heals.

We are acid by function. Everything we do creates metabolic acid that that needs to be buffered for our bodies to be healthy. Yet we are alkaline by design (intelligent design) and we are healthier when we are choosing alkaline choices!

What does this mean? We live in a society which promotes the S.A.D.- the Standard American Diet. If you follow this program you will gain weight and increase the likelyhood of disease by

- Eating foods high in animal fats (where foreign hormones and toxic endocrine disruptor’s are stored)

- Low fiber

- Low in complex carbohydrates

- High in refined, processed, fractionalized, genetically modified foods (if you can call them food, that nourishes, at this point!)

- High in unhealthy saturated hydrogenizd fats

- Low in vegetables, fruits, nuts, etc

The solution is to monitor your salivary and urine pH and to modify your diet and activities to create balance in your body’s pH systems. At Desert Dove Health and Wellness Center we have the optimum approach to body-mind-nutrition, to ensure your health.

Some products you could look into to increase your alkalinity are Green20 ( a product that disolves in water and has the alkaline equivalent of a pound of vegetables per packet!), Alka Green -which is a barley product, one of the highest alkalizing agents.

Are you ready and willing to take charge of your choices and receive state of the art healthcare and coaching today ?

Researchers analyzing 718 depressed patients deemed Anti-Depressant drugs not much more effective than placebos in relieving non-severe symptoms. These findings combined with a myriad of side effects, may help mild to moderate cases of depression to reconsider Allopathic care.

It is known that a proper diet (see previous blogs), exercise, breathing exercises and forgiveness homework begin to shift how we perceive and respond to life. When we see life differently (i.e. not from a place of lack or threat, but as of an abundance of choices) our brains get signals from the heart (see HeartMath Institute), so we literally feel different.

It just involves taking steps in personal responsibility and willingness. The brain will do the rest, i.e. make “Happy Hormones.”

Getting a B.E.S.T. treatment is the first step down that road. What are you waiting for? Call today to begin to feel Happy, Healthy and Successful

Dr. Dean Ornish & Colleagues found that comprehensive lifestyle changes altered gene expression in patients with prostate cancer. Over 500 genes changed genes changed their expression due to diet, meditation and other lifestyle habits.

Consider these statistics

- In a study of 89,941 nurses with type II diabetes, over 16 years, authors found 91% could be attributed to habits.

- Health care costs could be cut by $24 billion if Americans took just four supplements over the next five years! Can anyone say Alka Green?

- Hyman, Ornish and Roizen reported results of the EPIC study involving 23,00 subjects: 4 simple behaviors and habits; diet, exercise, body fat, not smoking affected health positively. By adhering to lifestyle changes, 93% of diabetes, 81% heart attack, 50% strokes and 38% of all cancers were prevented.

So we can see it’s not just about acute pain or symptom management, but overall lifestyle coaching that is available though weekly/monthly B.E.S.T. care and homework that will make the true difference in your health quality, and quantity.

Despite the rise in disease-care cost and no dip in the top 3 killers of Americans, the pharmaceutical companies continue to push their products on an unsuspecting and naive public while their profits rise.

Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Abbot Labs, Merck, Eli Lilly and Bristol Myers Squibb all showed increased profit in 2009.

According to the 2010 forecast from IMS Health, “The US will remain the largest pharmaceutical market, with 3-6 % growth expected annually in the next 5 years, reaching 360-390 billion in 2014 up from300 billion in 2009.”

This is despite lawsuits of multiple companies due to drug complications, frauds and symptoms (Astra Zeneca, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson etc..)

My question to you is: Did you develop your symptom (whatever it may be) because you have a lack of x,y,z drug in your diet???

Or is it simply that your habits have exhausted your body and not given your body what it needs to heal?

As we honor our 6 Essential Choices, daily, we make symptoms unnecessary and B.E.S.T. (Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique, Morter.com) can actually speed up the healing response of the body after our systems have been purged of interference in our conscious and subconscious minds and in our diet.

- increase natural immunity and speedy recovery for ailments such as appendicitis, hemorrhoids, IBS, cardiovascular disease and colon problems for starters.

- decreases the amount of time toxic waste is spent in your intestines.

- friendly bacteria flora of the lower intestine are favorably influenced by fiber in the diet.

- cholesterol levels are positively influenced.

- dietary roughage helps maintain weight control.

Great sources of roughage include: Whole grains, all green leafy vegetables, tuberous roots, fruits, pods, legumes, seeds and nuts. For a healthier life make these foods a regular part of your dietary habits.

Potatoes the common potato sources include baked, mashed, scalloped, chips, fries, knishes, pierogies, plus potato water in breads, biscuts, matzo, soups and stews and vodka. Beware that potato is also included in these ingrediants: hydrolyzed vegetable protein, modified vegetable protein (MVP), or modified food starch hidden in packaged meats, cold cuts and seafoods and other processed foods. Sweet potatoes are O.K. (a different family).

Tomatoes and their sauces ( like barbecue and brown sauces), seasonings, condiments like ketchup and steak sauce, prepared meats (like meatloaf), baked beans, gravies, and salad dressings containing them.

Peppers include red, green, orange, yellow, jalapeno, chili, cayenne, curry, pimentos, and paprika. Thes are hidden in salads, cold cuts, pastas, sausage and deli meats, olives, tabasco, worcestershire, steak sauce, coloring on nuts and fish, seasoning mixes, crackers, dips and spreads; black and white pepper are O.K.

“Spices” If the word “spices” or “natural flavorings” appear in the ingredient list, I cannot have it. These are hidden sources and nearly always in commercial salad dressings, mayonnaise, mustard, condiments, sauces, prepared (frozen) entrees, and soups; they could contain paprika, crushed red pepper, ground red pepper, cayenne, chili, curry; All other specified spices are O.K. (like black pepper (again not in the same family), garlic, ginger, basil, rosemary and more).

Also avoid eggplant and tabacco, as well as soy products, since monsanto is genetically modifying 80% of the soy with the petunia gene (a nightshade).

What’s Left?

Flaxseed & olive oils, vegetables, including sweet potatoes (a different botanical family) and many other spices like black pepper (again not in the same family), garlic, ginger, basil, rosemary and more. All fresh unprocessed meats, fowl and seafoods, wines and fruits, nuts, beans, cheeses, grains and herbs are not in the “nightshade family”.
