Science is full of data that tells us that the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.) is creating a variety of health time bombs that are HABIT DRIVEN. Unfortunately until the public understands that it’s our habits that need to change, the pharmaceutical companies will be more than happy to provide the latest pill with the promise of symptom removal.
REMEMBER: SYMPTOMATIC SUPPRESSION OR REGULATION THROUGH DRUGS IS NOT HEALTH CARE. Whether prescribed therapeutically or taken recreationaly for pleasure (the cessation of pain or a drug induced emotional state can be a symptom people call pleasure!).
This being said we all have different tastes, that as humans need to be fulfilled; sweet, sour, bitter, pungent and salty are all different aspects of taste. Excess sugar can lead to a variety of diseases and symptoms, toxic acidosis and nutritional deficiencies.
So how do I find the balance? One way is to use natural sweeteners; molasses, maple syrup, date sugar, agave nectar, fruit juice concentrate and Stevia are all options to refined sugar. There will be a different taste than junk food, yet in time our tastes and our bodies will adapt and heal, all for the better.
