Eating junk food from vending machines at work, coffee and smoking are all stimulating substances that will give you a quick boost of energy, yet at a tremendous toxic cost to our bodies. Our bodies need pure food, water, exercise, breathing, meaningful thinking/emotions, to be healthy and vibrant.
Research was done on worker productivity and it was found that at 10 am and 2 pm there was a drastic drop in work performance. So junk food was introduced with work breaks. This does temporarily solve the situation, but it’s a short term fix with long term consequences. Just look at the disease state we are in as a nation and the drug dependency (recreational, allopathic, tobacco, coffee, sugar, alcohol.)
ComPsych corporation found that employee’s who ate a balanced diet were 10 times more likely to sustain high energy levels throughout the day, as opposed to their fellow workers who ate junk food or skipped meals altogether. 73% of those who ate healthy reported high levels of productivity, compared to 24% of poor eaters.
