Acidosis: A True Cause of Weight Gain and Disease

Dr. MT Morter Jr., past president of two Chiropractic Colleges and founder/developer of B.E.S.T. (Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique), for over 30 years has spoken on the importance of alkalizing our body and buffering the ill effects of toxic acids.

Research at the University of San Francisco Department of Medicine by Dr.’s Lynda Frassetto and Anthony Sebastian published in the Journal of Genealogy demonstrated that as we get older our bodies ACCUMULATE ACID WASTES.  As these acid wastes accumulate our bodies begin to become over-whelmed in the buffering/detoxification process.  Researchers found that “as blood acidity increased there was a corresponding decrease of the alkaline reserve.” The alkaline reserve is the excess vitamins & minerals stored up in our bodies.

What’s the answer to this dilemma?  From a dietary point of view; to decrease acidifying foods (meat, dairy, junk food, refined grain & sugar, etc.) and increase vegetables and fruits!  The National Cancer Institute states that increasing fruit/veggies to 8 to 10 servings a day (think Alka Green, Green20 & Trace Minerals) will cut the risk of some cancers by 50%.
