Paradigm Shift

July 30th, 2010

1)  We are spiritual beings – energy beings – undergoing a physical experience

A)  Everything physical is temporary and significant from a spiritual eternal perspective only: lessons in virtue

B)  All negative emotions will create interference in my energy field, which will translate to lack of ease in my body since negative emotions interfere with original design.

2)  All human beings at their essence are:

Pristine

Pure

Naive

Ignorant

A)  This means we are vulnerable to information threw the senses, programming our perceptions and beliefs long before we are conscious enough to discern truth from falsehood

B)  So the hardware of the computer is pure & pristine, naive & ignorant, while the software may contain erroneous data about:  Self, God, Others, Life – that can cause false interpretation of data and lead to desire and fear

3)  All suffering comes from the perspective that my safety, happiness, value, esteem and worth are from an external source of location, where in reality happiness is from an internal & eternal source.

A)  This leads to looking for happiness, esteem, value and safety external to self.

B)  Becoming alienated from our true self

C)  Developing a persona or mask for others to see, and to live by with it’s inherent cravings, desires and fears.

4)  The suffering that occurs is a result of negative thinking and emoting from false beliefs, which trigger autonomic imbalances, hormonal changes and immune dysfunction: interference with Original Design.

A)  This creates awareness and the opportunity to change – grow and evolve in growth of self, practice of virtue and love of all.

5)  B.E.S.T. treatment removes interference in the body, mind, memory and energy field, allowing update of the nervous system and appropriate need.  Homework in forgiveness, compassion, conflict resolution, giving thanks and learning the lesson of the moment all allow for positive changes in the mind and field which does not interfere with Original Design.

Practicing the 6 essentials allows for self honoring and health which is a spring board for service to humanity! :)

It’s Just Stress!

July 29th, 2010

Seriously? It’s not just stress, it’s how I interpret and respond to life!  And if I am constantly in a tug of war within myself, others, kids, spouse, friends, traffic, the economy, the government, etc., I’m forever missing the mark (sin).  The truth of the matter is, it’s not stress “out there” but an inner resistance within myself to myself- resisting the lesson of the moment.

Between 0 to 7 years old data is input into our brains, some truth based, others inappropriate and outright falsehood.  All programmed into our brains, as how to perceive and respond in an appropriate, healthy and life generating response.  When trauma occurs in forms of physical, chemical, emotional and mental stimuli, the development of the brain gets stuck in a defense loop and the computer (brain) learns that’s what out there and in here (me) is not safe.  So I’m perpetually fighting tigers (perceived illusion of threat) within and without.  Here is a short list of how our perceptions effect our bodies.

Brain

-Glucocortoids during stress reaction damage the hippocampus interfering with longterm and spatial navigation (posture!)

-Alters nerve cell structure; behavioral consequences, depression.

Breasts

-Feelings/perceptions of social isolation ( I feel all alone) can contribute to being 3 times more suseptible to developing breast cancer.

Liver

- Glucocorticoids of stress reaction; lead to inflammation, cancer, blood sugar imbalance.

Bones

-Inflammation creates calium absorption imbalances and a decrease in osteoblasts (cells that make bone).

Heart

-Post Hurricane Katrina there was a 3 fold increase in heart attacks.  Bottled up anger for any reason or justification ( it makes no difference)  increases risk of heart attack.

Abdomen

-High stress related hormone cortisol increases belly fat, blocked arteries and Type II Diabetes.  Various studies at Wake Forest University and U.S. Navy indicate high demand jobs are associated with diarrhea, IBS and other GI disorders.

Sexual Reproductive Health

-As Glucocorticoids go up growth hormone goes down. This creates problems with ovulation, sperm count and sexual activity.

Skin

-Acne, fever-blisters and rosacea (sub-clinical undiagnosed lupus) are all indicators of chronic hypersensitive individuals, creating immune imbalances and skin problems.

Health Tips: Who You Can Be, Then What To Do To Regain Your Health Or Get To A New Level Of Wellness

July 28th, 2010

1.  Eat more vegetables and fruits, less meat and junk food

2.  Drink more water and less juice, soda, alcohol

3.  Go to sleep earlier, turn off the t.v. and read a good book or the good book

4.  Begin gently exercising aerobically, walking slowly at first – 10 min, then proceed to 30,40,50 min

5.  Shift to thinking instead of that stress is outside of me, to it’s all how I see life;  If I perceive life is doing it to me, then I’m always in a mind set of lack and victim, never at taking personal responsibility

6.  Shift my belief system to – if it’s to be it’s up to me: take charge of what you have charge of and let go of what you do not (everyone and everything outside of your skin!)

7.  Give thanks for every person, place, circumstance or event in your life, for the opportunity to grow and evolve in virtue (good habits) and to release/refrain from vice (unhealthy habits)

The Top Ways You Can Reduce Your Risk Of Cancer

July 27th, 2010

Here’s the statistics from The National Cancer Institute Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results.

2009 -  766,130 men, 713,220 women diagnosed with cancer.

What can you do today to reduce risk?

1.  Decrease body weight

- Increase veggies, fruits & nuts

- Drink R.O. water

- Aerobic exercise

2.  Reduce toxic load

- Cut out sugar, high fructose corn syrup and sweeteners from your diet

- Go Organic with meats – less hormones for your body to deal with

3.  Take natural, whole food supplements that support body detoxification, normalization and self revitalization (there’s no power in a drug or surgery to be healthy, ALL health must come from within).

4.  Regularly cleanse your body

- Do a series of 10-20 detox foot baths

- Do a liver-bowel-kidney cleanse

5. Detox your thoughts

- Immediately DROP (without blame, excuse or justification) ANY negative thought about yourself, others, life, God, past, present, future and begin to dwell on what  you are GRATEFUL for.

Are You Addicted To T.V.?

July 25th, 2010

What’s Excessive?  According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, our children should be limited to no more than 1-2 hours a day!  Researchers have found that when children watch excessive t.v. they are at risk of depression, obesity and attention span disorders.  According to the study, children who reported “more television use had significantly greater odds of developing depression for each additional hour of daily television use.”

These findings were NOT correlated to children who were exposed to video games, computer games or radio.  Perhaps because of the involvement of motor skills in games.  What I find interesting is how quickly we allow ourselves and children to escape into “fantasy” so quickly and so deeply, when life is present to be lived!  Books, music, sports, activities, chores, hobbies, relationships, worship, study (to name a few) are all areas of a balanced individual that get neglected for t.v.

Research shows that exercise between 4-8 pm increases strength and endurance, a great time to exercise, skip t.v. and choose to develope a healthy lifestyle.

Birth Control: Bad For Your Bones

July 21st, 2010

There was a recent article in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology that 47% of women who received the Depo-Provera shot lost significant bone mass in their hips within two years.  It seems it’s not nice to try to fool with  mother nature and medical therapies that seek to control physiology ALWAYS come with dire risk.   The study also found that smoking, never being pregnant and poor calcium consumption heightened the risk.

If you follow the 6 essential choices we monitor in B.E.S.T. and Morter Health System, most of the risk factors are eliminated.  Every choice we make has consequences, either health enhancing or disease promoting.  The problem with our conscious mind is we come up with excuses, rationalizations, projections, denials and justifications, all which seem positive to us, but in reality only legitimize a disease mentality.   For a more natural form of contraception, one could choose the symptothermal method, which has a 95% rate of predictability of fertility, with NO, I repeat NO negative health consequences.

Pain Killers Increase Risk of Hearing Loss in Men

July 15th, 2010

In a recent study from The American Journal of Medicine, it was found that analgesics contributed in a major way to hearing dysfunction.  Aspirin (increased 33%), NSAIDS (61%) and lastly acetaminophen’s (99%).  So if you’re taking Aspirin, Tylenol, or Motrin, at least 2 times a week, you are at grave risk.

However, lets look deeper at this phenomenon of pain, inflammation and hearing loss from a Holistic/Full Person perspective.  Pain- what is it, it is a response to a stimulus or event, yet more likely it is a response to a habit I have developed.  The same is true for inflammation.  So what I’m saying is that at some point in time of my development I learned something improperly, and the result is pain and inflammation.  And many times as males, we’ve been taught to be “good little soldiers” and grin and bear it, not learning the lesson in our 6 essential choices, “not listening”,  until perhaps a big “wake-up call’ occurs.  It’s something to contemplate the next time you go for the painkiller.  You may be slowly killing yourself.  Or you could just listen to wisdom, change and develop a new habit for health!

What To Know About Breast Cancer, Broccoli and Your Health

July 14th, 2010

The science of Epigenetics tells us that the brain of the cell is the cell wall and that the nucleus (center) of the cell containing the DNA is the reproductive center of the cell.  Environment plays the key part in determining, through interaction with the cell wall, what genes will be activated and what will occur within the body.  What is most exciting, is, to a large part, I determine, my environment, through my choices.

The National Institute of Health will be investing $190 million over the next 5 years into the understanding of Epigenetics and your health.  They’ll most likely study diet and exercise which are 2 of our 6 essential choices.  However, what has the most dominant effect upon Epigenetics is our thoughts ( read our previous blogs).

There are 1.1 million women diagnosed with breast cancer worldwide with 200,00 being Americans.  What is interesting is there are over 300 studies that demonstrate eating vegetables can protect from cancer development.  Especially vegetables of the genus Brassica: namely broccoli, cabbage, watercress, kale, Brussels sprout, cauliflower, kohlrabi, Peruvian Macca and mustards.  For example, when eating 5 servings a week of these vegetables, the cancer odds ratio drops to .58 which is a 50% reduction in risk.

Perhaps we could also look at hidden resentments, bitterness, unforgiveness, over-responsibility (narcissism) over/under-nurturing others or ourselves.  These are the predominant negative emotions of the Stomach Meridian that passes over the breast tissue.  Dr. Dirk Hammer speaks from experience, with over 15,000 cases of studied cancer.  Resolution through forgiveness and embracing the lesson will most assuredly hasten the healing and reconnection to source.

Weight Loss – Simplified

June 24th, 2010

I recently commented on obesity, BMI, disease and change.  The action steps are simple, yet we are the most obese nation on the planet!  That leads me to conclude we are the most “in denial”, full of excuses (well thought out lies), nation, when it comes to the Truth about health care.

Health is not about a pill, procedure, drug, surgery or vice.  Health is about making self honoring choices and a willingness to move from vice to virtue.  Here are a few well documented steps to follow through on once you have decided in your heart to honor yourself, and no longer believe in the excuses you have been programmed to believe.

1.  Find a picture in your life experience of joy or happiness and journal on this in great detail.

2. Every time you experience physical hunger, or the “urgent” knee jerk desire to eat; focus on your picture and emotion, until you feel different and repeat to yourself ” I am grateful & thankful for joy in my life and I act only on my joy”.

3. Find a naturally flavored, sugar and soy free protein powder ( whey , rice, pea, hemp – i.e. Alka Slim)

4. Add Omega 3-6-9; flax seed, chia seed and antioxidant rich fruits & veggies ( berries, Alka Green powder etc.)

5. For taste & good fat try adding coconut milk to shake.

6. Add Trace Minerals; you won’t taste it.

7. Substitute a shake 2 x a day for meals.

8. Drink Green tea. It is high in antioxidants and can increase metabolism. 2-3 quarts per day. Much hunger is thirst.

9. Walk 20-30-50 minutes per day, 5 days a week.

10. Take chest, hip, and thigh measurements or BMI and remeasure in 6 weeks. You’ll be very pleased with the results.

Are You at Risk for Fibromyalgia?

June 22nd, 2010

According to Vasselsen, Nilsen and Associates from the Norwegian Hunt Study there is an association between physical exercise, body mass index ( % of body far v lean muscle mass) and the risk of Fibromyalgia.  I would add heart disease, stroke, type II diabetes, arthritis, auto immune disease, etc.  The study found that women who are overweight or obese have a much greater risk of Fibromyalgia than women who are not overweight or obese and exercise.

The National Institutes of Health recently published information stating 66% of Americans are overweight and 30% are obese.  Children of 12 years of age are now presenting with type II diabetes and 17% of children 2-19 year old are obese.

The American Association of Clinical Endocrinology states the BMI as the primary indication for disease and death. As BMI increases so does disease and mortality.

I’ve written many blogs on exercise, diet and attitude changes.  My question to you is – If you are in this boat, when will you honor and respect yourself enough to be willing to change, before it’s too late!
