Are Drugs Vitamins??

August 11th, 2010

Check out the National Institute of Mental Health’s website and you’ll find an astounding fact: 30 million Americans took anti-depressants at a cost of 10 billion dollars in 2009.  Pharmaceutical companies overall sales for 2009 included 14.6 billion for psychotropic (mind altering) drugs and $4.8 billion for ADHD drugs.

Here’s some facts-

1). Anti-depressants/psychotropics are only marginally more effective in symptomatic treatment than placebo’s – yet placebo’s do not create serious, multiple side-effects some worse than the original complaint.

2). There are no biochemical markers for stress or depression.  The tools MD’s use to diagnose stress, anxiety and depression are based upon symptoms alone.

3). The medical profession is lobbied by the pharmaceutical companies as to what drug is to be used for what symptom.

4). Stress, anxiety and depression are not caused by “chemical imbalances” rather they are an effect of unresolved conflicts and negative thought patterns, repeated over years.

5). Side effects of Anti-depressants- suicidal tendencies, bone loss, lower life expectancies, birth defects, sexual dysfunction, gastric upset, insomnia, nervousness and mental impatience.

How did a country known for it’s self confidence, self reliance and courage become a nation of lack/victim based sheep?  Who do not discern and question the never ending commercial drugging of symptomatology, as opposed to solving the conflict through our 6 essential choices and habits?

What we accomplish at our clinic, for those who are willing to face, feel, deal, and release, is true healing from the inside out.

It’s All About Balance

August 10th, 2010

In our physical bodies balance is controlled by 3 systems: the visual system (eyes), the vestibular system (inner ears) and proprioception (combination of sensors in the skin, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments). Our ability to stand upright and move in a coordinated, energy efficient fashion, is a result of our bodies ability to balance itself internally.

Lets take a brief look at how we develop balance. As babies the muscles of the neck and eyes begin the process. We move our heads and develop the curves of our neck. We begin to move and crawl and develop the curves of the low back.  There are many complex neurologic mechanisms taking place all for the  ultimate balancing act; standing. Which we do briefly, then fall over!  We repeat the pattern until we co-ordinate ourselves internally.

As a B.E.S.T. Practitioner and Instructor, we are always focusing on balance; structually within the body and ultinmately in all areas of our lives. For to do so brings about health as an outcome.

Research has shown that joints that do not move freely, will create balance problems.  Balance can become diminished as we age, further complicated by many pathologic-disease states.  What practitioners and clients all over the world have discovered is the EmPower March, as a positive re-patterning tool for balance.  This is in light of brain plasticity ( the brains ability to learn new functions and drop old patterns).

When you receive regular B.E.S.T. treatments and implement your “homework” daily, you will feel stronger, more energy and balance – Naturally Right!

High Fructose Corn Syrup, Mercury, and Autism

August 7th, 2010

Here’s some data from the October 2009 Journal of Pediatrics:

- Numerous studies have suggested that the prevalence of autism spectrum disorders has increased in the U.S. dramatically in the past decades. The early 2000′s found 1 in every 166 have some form of autism, by 2008 it was 1 in every 151, and 2009 saw the ratio drop to 1 in every 99.

- Mercury is a “potent neurological toxin” and a danger to an unborn child’s developing brain, even in low doses of micrograms.

- Mercury is used to produce thousands of products including: High fructose corn syrup, citric acid, sodium benzoate, sweeteners & preservatives to enhance shelf life.

- In 2004 several member states of the European Union reported finding mercury concentrations in beverages, cereals, bakery ware, and sweeteners all which may contain high fructose corn sweeteners.

- Authors estimate that potential average daily total from high fructose corn syrup could be as high as 28.4 micrograms of mercury.

- Other sources of mercury are vaccinations (thiomersol) and dental amalgams.

- There are 20 million diagnosed cases of thyroid conditions nationally, with another 40 million sub-clinically present.

- Mercury is an endocrine disruptor as well, leading to heavy metal toxicity of the hormone system.

Chronic Pain, Depression and Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique (B.E.S.T.)

August 6th, 2010

Depression is the most common mental state associated with chronic pain.  30 to 80 % of people with chronic pain are also experiencing depression.

What do we know about chronic pain

- It may include headache, back pain, pain caused by arthritis, neck pain or any body symptom which is associated with inflammation – anything ending in ”itis”

- People may suffer from chronic pain without any identifiable cause like trauma or physical injury/damage

- Chronic pain can have a physical, mental, emotional or chemical cause, yet continues long beyond the point of healing

Major clinical depression includes

-predominant sadness

-blue and hopelessness

-change in weight, appetite, sleep (autonomic hormonal function)

-restlessness and fatigue

-poor concentration and memory

-feeling worthless and guilty

-loss of interest in previous activities

How are chronic pain and depression related?

-each can trigger the other, creating a vicious cycle

-pain triggers sleeplessness, which triggers fatigue and hopelessness etc

DID YOU KNOW?!?!

- B.E.S.T. was studied at Parker Chiropractic College and had a greater than 80% effectiveness in treating chronic pain clients that had failed in medical and chiropractic care

- And almost an equally significant percentage with depression

What can you do today?

How to Avoid the Sugar Blues Without Giving Up Your Sweet Tooth Totally!

August 5th, 2010

Science is full of data that tells us that the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.) is creating a variety of health time bombs that are HABIT DRIVEN.   Unfortunately until the public understands that it’s our habits that need to change, the pharmaceutical companies will be more than happy to provide the latest pill with the promise of symptom removal.

REMEMBER: SYMPTOMATIC SUPPRESSION OR REGULATION THROUGH DRUGS IS NOT HEALTH CARE.  Whether prescribed therapeutically or taken recreationally for pleasure (the cessation of pain or a drug induced emotional state can be a symptom people call pleasure!).

This being said we all have different tastes, that as humans need to be fulfilled; sweet, sour, bitter, pungent and salty are all different aspects of taste.  Excess sugar can lead to a variety of diseases and symptoms, toxic acidosis and nutritional deficiencies.

So how do I find the balance?  One way is to use natural sweetners; molasses, maple syrup, date sugar, agave nectar, fruit juice concentrate and Stevia are all options to refined sugar.    There will be a different taste than junk food, yet in time our tastes and our bodies will adapt and heal, all for the better.

B.E.S.T. Is A Way Of Being…….Human

August 2nd, 2010

In B.E.S.T. we monitor our 6 Essential Choices.  What we eat, drink, breathe and how we exercise, rest and think can be evaluated and monitored.  As a human being we recognize these choices as my own responsibility and no one else.   Not my spouse, parent, boss, peers or the government.  When I am self honoring in my 6 essentials I feel more energy, vitality, flexible and dynamic.  I naturally live in my passion.  I encourage and support others to self-honor and respect.  This creates an environment of win/win.

It is easy for me to live from my heart space and know how to respond in the present moment, from the present moment.  Not from an old inappropriate belief system that no longer works to honor myself and others.  Others feel this and 2 things happen.   People naturally want to be part of my community and environment or the energy of joy-love-passion is too much for their egos to handle and they move away.

B.E.S.T. allows me the opportunity to update old patterns of perception. old trauma’s and drama’s and to be grateful for the lesson of the moment.

To be present, not stuck in the regret of the past or the fear of the future is to be a fully Human Being.  Doing is always an outflow of being.  What I have therefore is an outcome of being.

Whats Wrong With Milk ? I Thought It Was The Perfect Food?

August 1st, 2010

Well maybe.  For some people it’s OK, yet for people with behavioral problems, allergies, autism, asthma, Asberger’s Syndrome and a variety of other disorders an allergy to the protein in milk called casein may be the problem.   Although it may cause many health issues it also has an opiate-like calming effect – which may explain why so many people crave milk, chocolate, cheese and dairy products.  Whats going on is people are using food instead of their free will and intellect to regulate themselves and calm down.  Which indicates they are in a state of fight or flight when there is no actual threat.

What about kids?  I always ask what’s going on in the home. There could be a trigger with parents, siblings, friends, stress levels, parent’s stress levels, etc., that predisposes a child to hypersensitivity or the illusion of over-responsibility.

Casein is also a binding agent, so it can be found in glue, paint, nail polish, and even in cosmetics.  So if you have these symptoms and notice you go to cheese or dairy products when you “need to calm down,” you may want to avoid dairy ( which is also currently laden with various synthetic hormones to increase the size of the animals) since the processing of milk only concentrates the casein.

Rice milk and coconut milk may be a suitable substitute. Here’s a list to look at to see if you could benefit.

-Autism

_Asberger’s Syndrome

-Atypical Autism

-Allergies

-Asthma

-Any Inflammatory Condition

-Ear/Tonsil Infections

-Bed-wetting

-Colic

-Childhood Diabetes

-Iron Deficiency Anemia

-Occult GI Bleeding

Avoid: Milk, cream, ice ,cream, half-half, yogurt, butter, cream cheese, chocolate, creamed soup, pudding.

Substitute: Rice, soy/potato based milk, mocha mix, coconut butter, Tofutti brand product, Sunbelt/Italian ice, Imagine brand soups.

See our blogs on the 6 essentials for dietary changes and supplements.  Lately we have helped many people with “allergies to casein” simply by updating their functional neurology and memory patterns with B.E.S.T. treatments only! Call today :)

Paradigm Shift

July 30th, 2010

1)  We are spiritual beings – energy beings – undergoing a physical experience

A)  Everything physical is temporary and significant from a spiritual eternal perspective only: lessons in virtue

B)  All negative emotions will create interference in my energy field, which will translate to lack of ease in my body since negative emotions interfere with original design.

2)  All human beings at their essence are:

Pristine

Pure

Naive

Ignorant

A)  This means we are vulnerable to information threw the senses, programming our perceptions and beliefs long before we are conscious enough to discern truth from falsehood

B)  So the hardware of the computer is pure & pristine, naive & ignorant, while the software may contain erroneous data about:  Self, God, Others, Life – that can cause false interpretation of data and lead to desire and fear

3)  All suffering comes from the perspective that my safety, happiness, value, esteem and worth are from an external source of location, where in reality happiness is from an internal & eternal source.

A)  This leads to looking for happiness, esteem, value and safety external to self.

B)  Becoming alienated from our true self

C)  Developing a persona or mask for others to see, and to live by with it’s inherent cravings, desires and fears.

4)  The suffering that occurs is a result of negative thinking and emoting from false beliefs, which trigger autonomic imbalances, hormonal changes and immune dysfunction: interference with Original Design.

A)  This creates awareness and the opportunity to change – grow and evolve in growth of self, practice of virtue and love of all.

5)  B.E.S.T. treatment removes interference in the body, mind, memory and energy field, allowing update of the nervous system and appropriate need.  Homework in forgiveness, compassion, conflict resolution, giving thanks and learning the lesson of the moment all allow for positive changes in the mind and field which does not interfere with Original Design.

Practicing the 6 essentials allows for self honoring and health which is a spring board for service to humanity! :)
